CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Professional Fire Fighters of West Virginia (PFFWV) has officially endorsed Joe Manchin for the U.S. Senate.
“Fire fighters look danger in the eyes and never blink,” Manchin said. “I have always been humbled and impressed by the way fire fighters go into harm’s way while others rush out. I am so honored to have the confidence and support of professional fire fighters from across our state. I will fight for all of our people and to bring West Virginia values and common sense solutions to Washington.”
Joe Manchin’s nomination for endorsement was unanimous at the recent PFFWV’s executive board meeting.
“Joe Manchin has always stood up to protect the citizens and fire fighters of West Virginia, and now the Professional Fire Fighters of West Virginia wish to stand by him in his campaign to be our next U.S. Senator,” PFFWV Secretary/Treasurer Carl Eastham said.
PFFWV follows the endorsement of the West Virginia AFL-CIO, United Mine Workers of America and the West Virginia Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Manchin for U.S. Senate. The NRA, the Charleston Daily Mail, the Charleston Gazette, the Fairmont Times West Virginian, the Martinsburg Journal and the Wheeling Intelligencer have endorsed Manchin for the primary.
